Veterinary Laboratory & Pharmacy Technician

Location: Care Center, Cincinnati
Full-Time | 8am-6pm Mon-Thurs  
Compensation: $17–$22/hr, based on experience

Are you a detail-oriented, organized veterinary professional with a passion for both diagnostics and pharmacy? We're looking for a Veterinary Laboratory & Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team and support top-quality care by performing essential lab diagnostics and medication handling with precision, efficiency, and compassion.

Your Impact:
Laboratory Responsibilities:Collect, prepare, process and ship a variety of biological samples (blood, urine, feces, tissue, etc.).Perform in-house diagnostic testing: CBC, Chemistry Panels, Urinalysis, Fecals, Cytology, SNAP/ELISA testing, and more.Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment (analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges).Follow strict quality control and safety protocols (OSHA, AAHA).Accurately document and upload lab findings and radiology reports in patient records and communicate results with the medical team.Track lab supply inventory and manage reordering needs.Pharmacy Responsibilities:Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately per veterinary orders.Label and package medications clearly with dosing and warning instructions.Communicate with external pharmacies for refills and new scripts.Handle payment transactions for prescriptions and services.Maintain controlled substance logs and contribute to inventory control.Keep the pharmacy area organized and compliant with hospital policies.What We’re Looking For:High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.1–2 years of experience in veterinary or pharmacy technician roles.Excellent attention to detail and strong multitasking skills.Familiarity with common veterinary medications and lab procedures.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.Fluent English required; fluency in additional languages a plus.Why choose Care Center?Collaborative Environment: Work alongside experienced, supportive team members who are committed to your growth.Career Advancement: Clear path to leadership or specialty roles.Commitment to Excellence: We practice high-quality medicine with advanced equipment and techniques.Learning Culture: We invest in your development with extensive CE opportunities and ongoing training.Team Appreciation: Your voice matters here.
