Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? VCA Dunwoody Veterinary Center is excited to expand our leadership team and is currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant Supervisor to help guide and support our hospital staff in delivering the highest standard of care.

Schedule: Full-time opportunity

Key Responsibilities: As the Veterinary Assistant Supervisor, you will work closely with our medical and hospital leadership teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the hospital floor. You will assist in mentoring and supporting the assistant team while continuing to provide hands-on care to our patients.

Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures

Safely and humanely restrain patients during procedures

Administer medications and treatments under veterinary direction

Collect and process lab samples (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)

Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and exam areas

Accurately document patient care and progress in medical records

Educate clients on general pet care, medications, and post-operative instructions

Help foster a positive, team-oriented hospital culture

Support onboarding, training, and daily coordination of assistant team members

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

2+ years previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to lead by example and support a collaborative team environment.

Passion for veterinary medicine and high-quality patient care.
