**BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant for our Radiology department** **.** **Payband** : $21.25 - $31.45/Hr + Are you driven, dependable, committed, and knowledgeable? + Do you demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills in a team atmosphere? + Do you want to be in a dynamic and rewarding setting? **If you answered "yes" to any of those questions,** **we want** **to talk to you** **.** **Schedule** : This would be a full-time position with the hours of 9a - 7p, M, Tue, Thurs, and Friday (four 10-hour shifts). There is a rotating on-call expectation of 2 Saturdays/month on average with compensation. Expected duties would include: + Calmly and gently approach and handle our patients according to safety protocols and our core values + You will be expected to restrain patients for ultrasounds, radiographs, fluoroscopy, and other diagnostic imaging procedures as directed or as they arise. + Identify abnormal pathology and notify the attending doctor + Understand our hospital estimates & charges and can clearly present and explain them to our clients and/or team members + Have patience and empathy to address patient needs balanced with Dr's/teams needs. + Educate clients in the areas of Radiology and can provide exceptional care for our patients + Prepare medications and our patients/clients for discharge as needed + Support your Radiology team, and the hospital team as a whole, in all aspects of care for our patients + Fear Free Handling experience is preferable but not a requirement + Hands-Free Radiology experience is preferable but not a requirement **Why BluePearl?** + Our passion is pets.
