Compensation Range $18-$21 per hour

VCA Arroyo Grande Animal Hospital is a  busy , small animal practice in Arroyo Grande, California. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Veterinary Assistant/Room Technician to join our team! 

Duties will include:

Tracking scheduled appointmentsAssisting veterinarians; ensuring patients are served in a timely mannerDrawing up vaccinesTaking pet's vitalsCleaning, stocking and maintaining exam rooms Animal Restraint Assist with technical and clerical duties as assigned Maintaining medical records Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

Qualifications:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.At least one year of Veterinary Assistant,  Veterinary Technician Assistant or Room Technician experience preferredMust have great communication skills,Must be a "people person" and have the ability to interact with clients, doctors, and staff.Must have a flexible schedule, organized, able to handle high phone volume, able to multi-task and prioritize
