Located just 5 miles from the beaches of the Jersey Shore, VCA Toms River Animal Hospital is a 7 doctor general practice offering wellness and sick care, digital radiography including dental x-rays, surgery, FAST ultrasound, rehabilitation and laser therapy, acupuncture, in-house bloodwork, and hospitalization. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team full time. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience as a veterinary technician/assistant is required; credentialed (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred but not requiredExperience in emergency medicine, surgery, and dentistryA positive, encouraging and supportive attitudeExcellent communication skillsFlexibility in hours including (but not limited to) evenings, weekends, and holidaysWillingness and capability to be cross-trained in reception and kennelWorking knowledge of computersTeam player mindset, willing to learn new techniques and treatments
