VCA Hawthorn Animal Hospital is expanding its team and looking for a part-time Veterinary Assistant! 

Snapshot of the Role: The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinationsKeep accurate records and logsSterilize equipmentObserving patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staffPlus so much more!

Compensation: 

$16 - 18/ hr, and the starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities are available. 

Schedule: Part-time opportunity (20 - 22 hours), Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday schedule. 

Requirements:

1+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
