VCA Cedar View Animal Hospital is looking to expand its team with a Veterinary Assistant!  

Who We Are: 

VCA Cedar View Animal Hospital, located in Apple Valley, Minnesota, has been a pioneer in the veterinary community for over 40 years. Our four-doctor practice works hard to deliver the best medical care for our patients. 

We are proudly an AAHA-accredited hospital providing Preventative/Routine medical care. In addition to our general Veterinary services, we offer advanced services such as orthopedic surgeries, advanced soft tissue surgeries, ultrasounds, and specialty dermatology visits on-site through outside specialists.

What our Veterinary Technician Assistants  do each day: 

·      Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff  

·      Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients  

·      Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked  

·      Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations 

·      Keep accurate records and logs 

·      Sterilize equipment 

·      Observing patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staff 

Schedule: Full-time opportunities, with flexible scheduling. Not looking for full-time hours? No problem we can offer part-time opportunities as well!

Compensation: $ 15 - 17 / hr. Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available. 

Requirements:

A passion for animals and a strong desire to provide exceptional care and support

Previous experience in a veterinary, animal care, or customer service setting is a plus, but not required — we’re happy to train the right candidate!

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask effectively

Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the veterinary field

Ability to safely restrain animals when needed and handle them with compassion and care

Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic

High school diploma or equivalent required
