Job Description Vessel Manager – Cruise | EU Passport Required
Location: Germany or Cyprus (China may be considered)
Travel: International travel required
We are currently seeking an experienced Vessel Manager to take responsibility for the technical management of a fleet of cruise vessels.
Reporting directly to the Fleet Manager, this is a key position within the technical team, offering a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
You will oversee all aspects of vessel performance, including budgeting, dry docking, regulatory compliance, and senior officer management. You will represent the company during major projects and ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day technical operations of cruise vessels Lead on budget planning, control, and reporting Supervise and support senior officers across the fleet Ensure compliance with class, flag state, and internal requirements Plan and oversee dry dockings and major technical projects Act as company representative during dockings and refits Deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets Candidate Profile: Previous shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent Cruise ship experience is essential, ideally sailed to the Chief Engineer Experience with expedition cruises is an advantage Strong leadership, planning, and organisational abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Fluent in English (spoken and written) Proven experience managing budgets and technical performance Must hold a valid EU passport The Opportunity: This role offers a strong platform for a skilled technical professional to advance their career in cruise operations.
