Job Summary: Perform repairs and installation/replacement works on the vessel HVAC systems safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Perform repairs and installation/replacement works on the vessel HVAC systems safely and efficiently, Install, remove and replace the elements of the vessel HVAC systems, using hand and power tools and appropriate fittings. Perform troubleshooting on the vessel HVAC systems. Be able to read HVAC layout drawings. Provide support to the engine room department when required to do so. Be responsible for good housekeeping on the work site. Wear the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), wherever required. Participate to the Toolbox talks meeting and JSA (Job Safety Analysis), wherever required. Report to the 2nd Engineer.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements: Accredited qualification. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a Vessel HVAC Technician role for offshore Vessel HVAC Technician with Offshore Industrial Airconditioning System & Compressors experience. Valid OPITO approved BOSIET or OSIET/HUET/THUET/FOET. Mandatory requirement STCW required certificates, National CoC Reg. III/1 and endorsement MOU stability course (where applicable). Have experience as a Seaman and knowledge of Maritime rules and regulations. Must be proficient in English, oral and written communication.
