Verification & Validation Engineer Job Description We are preparing for a new military contract and are seeking experienced Embedded Software Engineers to support our development efforts. This role is a 2-year contract position. Responsibilities + Lead and execute software verification and validation (V&V) activities for flight-critical embedded systems. + Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and reports aligned with DO-178C objectives. + Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure requirements traceability and coverage. + Build and maintain automated test environments, including Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) setups. + Perform code reviews, static analysis, and support certification audits. + Contribute to motor control algorithm design, tuning, and integration. Skills + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. + 5+ years of experience in embedded software development and Verification & Validation (V&V). + Deep understanding of DO-178C processes and certification requirements. + Strong skills in C/C++, Python, and embedded Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) environments. + Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and simulation tools. + Experience with motor control design. Work Environment The position requires working onsite at one of the following locations: Elyria, OH; Akron, OH; Mentor, OH; or Mayfield Heights, OH (Headquarters). Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $63.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
