Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Veneer Grader for its Natchitoches Engineered Wood Products (EWP) manufacturing facility located in Natchitoches, LA. This hourly position within the Press Department primary function is to ensure quality veneer is fed into the press to create LVL. The wage for this role is $21.64 per hour. *KEY FUNCTIONS:* * Efficient at ensuring a continuous flow of veneer into the press. * Effective at identifying reject and pulling the reject out into the buggy for banding. * Breakout Billet Tender or other Veneer Graders. * Familiar with and apply veneer specifications when conducting quality checks. * Efficient at troubleshooting. * Daily clean-up activities, blowing down, sweeping, and general housekeeping activities. * Utilize the catwalk to reach the bay. * Competence in training other Veneer Graders or Production Associates. * Understand the process flow and provide solutions to issues. * Immediately address all safety and housekeeping issues. * Other duties as assigned. * High School Diploma/GED. * Minimum 2 years of experience in a wood products manufacturing facility. * A current resume or detailed education and work history is required for consideration. * Previous experience in the Press Department a preference. * Attention to detail is absolutely necessary. * Strong team building capabilities. * Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite and other Microsoft-based programs. * Good judgment and decision-making skills. * Must be willing to work a 12-hour shift which will include weekends and holidays. * Ability to work in extreme temperatures and be ambulatory for the majority of an assigned 12-hour shift. *About Wood Products* We've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
