Bloomberg’s Enterprise Technology & Connectivity (ETEC) group is seeking a contract-based Vendor Program Support Specialist to help accelerate vendor outreach and compliance enforcement as part of our Vendor Authorization Initiative. This high-visibility program governs how third-party technology vendors access Bloomberg’s Enterprise Console, a critical self-service portal used to configure and manage connectivity between Bloomberg and its global client base.
As a Vendor Relationship Manager, you will work closely to directly engage with vendors, drive documentation compliance, manage reporting tasks, and support training and enablement where needed.
This is a chance to help reshape Bloomberg’s vendor operating model by reinforcing our self-service vision, reducing operational risk, and ensuring that our most important vendor partners are properly permissioned and prepared for growth.
We’ll expect you to:
- Reach out to vendors by email and phone to explain authorization requirements and collect required documentation
- Confidently handle negotiation attempts or pushback from vendors—communicating policy firmly but diplomatically
- Guide vendors through their options within the Enterprise Console, highlighting how to manage client connectivity effectively
- Serve as a trusted liaison between Bloomberg teams and vendors to resolve blockers or escalate concerns
- Track outreach progress, document responses, and maintain reporting dashboards for leadership visibility
- Ensure all documentation is stored and categorized properly for audit readiness and internal review
- Assist with creating and updating training materials, FAQs, and process documents as needed
- Conduct 1:1 or small group vendor walkthroughs of the Enterprise Console when required
- Identify trends in vendor confusion or resistance and feed insights back to product teams
You’ll need to have:
- 5+ years experience in vendor management, account operations, implementation, or client service—ideally in FinTech, Enterprise SaaS, or Connectivity Services
- Strong communication and negotiation skills—you can hold your ground without alienating a partner
- Excellent organizational skills; experience managing outreach campaigns or compliance trackers a plus
- Comfortable navigating documentation-heavy processes with strong attention to detail
- Proficient with Excel, Google Sheets, and ideally CRM or ticketing systems
- Self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Experience training or onboarding external users is a strong plus
We’d love to see:
- Familiarity with enterprise data connectivity (e.g., FIX, SWIFT, or financial APIs)
- Exposure to vendor portals or self-service platforms
- Experience working with compliance, legal, or procurement teams
