The Opportunity:

The Vendor Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of material for the Program Management Office (PMO). This role involves strategic planning, negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation to optimize vendor relationships and achieve cost efficiencies. The Vendor Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to align vendor strategies with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.Foster collaboration and partnership with vendors to drive mutual growth and success.Identify, evaluate, and select new vendors based on quality, cost, delivery, and service capabilities.Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and vendor capabilities.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate vendor performance.Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to vendors for continuous improvement.Implement corrective actions and strategies to address underperformance.Identify and assess potential risks associated with vendor relationships, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.Ensure vendors comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Communicate vendor-related information and updates to PMO.Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops to enhance vendor collaboration.Prepare and present reports on vendor performance, costs, and savings to the PMO and senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Required

Education: BA/BS in related field, additional four years of direct experience may replace education requirement.Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. Experience in vendor/supplier management is essentialProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience with ERP SystemsProficient in using procurement software and toolsStrong negotiations and contract management skillsStrong ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholdersExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$70,800 - $148,600
