Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesMettler Toledo is seeking to hire a Vehicle Solutions Consultant to cover Chicago and its surrounding areas responsible for promoting METTLER TOLEDO solutions to defined accounts within a defined market or territory. As a Solutions Consultant you will work closely with your sales manager and technical application consultant who provide an increased focus on personal and sales skills development through the active use of consultative co-selling, ride-a-longs and coaching.You will use general sales and consulting skills to grow revenue and profitability for the Company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work to meet annual targets by actively collaborating with sales manager in account selection process and identifying key Prospecting (P) and Farming (F) accounts aligned with strategyTravel throughout assigned territory both collaboratively with sales manager(s) and technical application consultants, and independently to call on regular and prospective customers to educate, inform, and solicit orders.Active Business Development focusing on building engagement plans targeting P accounts to grow market share and expand territories Professionally manage and expand key accounts (F) through key account management techniques helping customers increase efficiency and reduce waste in there weighing processes. Actively participate in bi-weekly pipeline reviews and penetration plan reviewsWork with sales manager to develop comprehensive territory review at least once per year which includes market, channel, and competitive landscape, detailed penetration plan overview, and other key topics as requiredActively work to understand our data systems, rules, and areas for improvement in order to improve the quality and completeness of data within the CRMComplete other non-customer reports and process on time (i.e. expenses, evaluations, and won/lost order reports)Other duties and tasks as assignedWhat You Need to SucceedThis role does have any specific educational requirements; however, successful candidates with any engineering experience will be preferred. Project management skills are beneficial and industrial sales experience is recommended. Overnight travel requirements for this position may be up to 50%.
