You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love. **In this position...** The chosen candidate will engage with dealers, trucking companies (carhaul carriers), railroads, ocean carriers, yard operators, as well as with cross-functional teams (i.e. product development, marketing and sales, legal), to provide damage-free vehicles to there final destinations. This position is also responsible for hitting KPIs like cost efficiency and decreasing vehicle idle time. With our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career and help us define tomorrow’s transportation. **What you'll do...** + Meet and exceed NAVL Quality objectives by facilitating, improving, and implementing actions that will reduce transportation damage and dwell within the vehicle shipping process. + Quick analytical abilities to rapidly resolve issues as they arise. + Draw logical conclusions, from data that is presented, or have the ability to challenge the data and make necessary adjustments, to ensure decisions and action plans will lead to desired results. + Maintain & improve upon relationships between Ford and our finished vehicle logistics carrier partners to deliver best-in-class quality. + Devise and implement improvements in the overall in-transit repair (ITR) process for exception units + Perform load tests, as required, for future model vehicles and other key model changes on rail and/or carhaul to clearly document & define any potential concerns that could impact the ability to ship the unit damage-free. + Leverage Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard to identify where action is needed to significantly improve Ford's damage-free delivery performance and have critical conversations with carriers, as necessary. + Engage with Plant Quality and Production teams to cut-off repetitive exceptions that are flowing through the release gate. + Create, monitor, and maintain various Purchase Orders necessary to support functions for this section. + Utilization of automated vehicle inspection systems and maintenance of projects surrounding this space. + Lead and establish quality reviews with carriers, as necessary. + Attend, as required, various industry conferences (AAR, AIAG, etc.) + Travel (minimal), as required to support various projects or activities.
