Vehicle Integration Specialist

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Build and maintain cross-domain sandbox vehicles - both internal combustion engine-driven (flex fuel, hybrid, etc.) as well as pure electric vehicles.

- Integration of Bosch and non-Bosch components on test vehicles.

- Responsible for workshop and lab areas: Co-ordination for AMCs of the equipment, inventorying of tools, statutory tests (such as load certification), and enforcement of working instructions at the respective benches.

- Coordination with various stakeholders - internal and external for vehicle demonstrations at Bosch and non-Bosch venues for vehicle logistics and setup.

- Support prototyping of parts, spares' procurement and their installation as a part of demonstrator build-up and maintenance.

Qualifications

Educational qualification: Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering

Experience : 7+ years

Mandatory/required Skills :

- Hands-on experience of working with the mechanical and electrical subsystems of internal combustion engine-driven vehicles, and their construction and maintenance.

- Hands-on experience of working on electric vehicles, their subsystems, and at least a Level 1 instruction according to DGUV Information 209-093 or equivalent standard for working on high voltage vehicle systems.

- Skilled driving, including the ability to expect potential failure modes and ensure controllability when test-driving development vehicles.

- Hands-on ability to ideate, prototype and adapt sub-components through workshop processes for the bring-up of demonstrator cars, while meeting stakeholder requirements.

- Dependable problem solving skills and the ability to judge and troubleshoot based on minimal inputs, the likely root cause of vehicle issues.

- Excellent collaborative skills as the job involves working with a variety of stakeholders across the organisation in a cross-domain innovation construct.

Preferred Skills :
Background in the build and repair of vehicles, ability to prototype components, familiarity with automotive subsystems and troubleshooting skills of the same with minimal inputs, CAD skills non-mandatory but the ability to express a design solution through sketches is an added advantage
