Vehicle & Commodity Database Analyst

This position supports Product Development Benchmark Centers, globally. Primary responsibilities will include daily management, maintenance and testing of Ford and Competitor Technology System (FACTS), Innovation Bench Platform (IBP) and Iceberg databases. Including resolution of database access, “bugs and full vehicle teardown process issues, as they arise.

**What you'll do:**
+ Address FACTS, IBP, Iceberg application related issues - user access and/or other issues; work with users that report problems or difficulties using the applications to identify whether the issues they're reporting are actual bugs, or a lack of understanding/training issue
+ Support internal and external IT support teams - IT can address IT related issues, but they often require support in understanding full vehicle and commodity teardown processes and impact to downstream customers/teardown technicians
+ Support internal and external teams requesting access to internal teardown data, i.e. GDIA, Team Vector, PDC Search, and various other teams that want to understand and/or use vehicle and/or commodity teardown data
+ Manage FACTS, IBP and Iceberg applications - manage user/user groups/exhibit permissions, conduct and/or facilitate training (primarily for teardown teams, and individuals or small groups)
+ Manage FACTS homepage - address issues when they arise, support development, testing, manage the data behind the search tool, news banner, teardown schedule, etc.
+ Reports and data - support regular requests for data and specialized reports
+ Manage database hierarchies - name adds, manage properties (CPSC, PAF's, PCC, BPNO's, etc.), etc.
+ Support global teardowns - training, support, process changes, etc.
+ Support requests for special projects, i.e, alternative viewers and data collection and input tools
+ Support application implementation and data migration operations
+ Support teardown process changes - data collection points, new tree structures, etc.
+ Support downstream processes - like Team Vector, Cost Estimating, etc.
+ Manage user access
+ Support development of new features, such as AI search tools
+ Support and manage the collection of backup data and implement ways to utilize it
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree - Automotive Technology, Engineering or related science, preferred
+ Extensive knowledge of full vehicle and commodity teardown processes
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with FACTS, IBP, PADB, MPNR, FEDE, Teamcenter, Iceberg
+ Solid understanding of CPSC, PAF and Commodity Teardown structure
+ In-depth knowledge of overall vehicle and system interfaces
+ Proficient computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills for manipulation of large data sets and cross-referencing discrete reports
+ Experience with competitive intelligence and service manuals
+ Position may require periodic workday flexibility as we provide support and interact with all regions globally
+ Ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously
+ High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
+ Proven attention to detail and process discipline
+ Extensive knowledge of full vehicle and commodity teardown processes

This position is a salary grade range 5-8.
