International Motors is seeking a Vehicle Certification & Compliance Engineer to join our Certification and Compliance team. In this role, you’ll make sure our vehicles meet all required regulations, from the earliest design stages through production. You’ll combine regulatory knowledge with hands-on engineering expertise, interpreting requirements, working closely with design and test teams, and ensuring our validation procedures and reports clearly back up compliance statements.
You’ll serve as the subject matter expert for your assigned regulatory areas, contribute to planning for future requirements, and identify ways to improve our processes. At times, you may lead regulatory audits or mentor less experienced team members.
ResponsibilitiesSpecific role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identify and interpret regulations that apply to programs using new technologiesPartner with engineering teams to develop and document compliance validation plansMaintain up-to-date compliance records for assigned vehicle models and technologiesReview product changes for potential regulatory impacts and update documentation accordinglyManage information requests and audits from regulatory agenciesStreamline compliance processes without sacrificing accuracy or qualityImplement tools, templates, and training to improve documentation efficiency and audit readinessCapture and share lessons learned to strengthen future compliance programs Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 12 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologiesOR
Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 8 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologiesOR
PhD in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAt least 5 years of experience in product design/development or new technologies or specialized technologies and/or computer science experienceAt least 2 years of experience leading new technologies or specialized technologies Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
