Position Overview The Finance Associate will play a critical role in fund operations, reporting, and strategic initiatives. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and excited about the future of finance, crypto, and AI. Key Responsibilities Fund Reporting + Review quarterly reports prepared by fund administrators for open- and closed-ended funds. + Reconcile digital asset transactions with blockchain records. + Distribute quarterly capital statements and manage fund administrator relationships. Annual Audit + Review annual financial statements and coordinate with auditors. + Manage audit documentation including confirmations, valuation memos, and transaction support. Fund Operations + Support capital calls, distributions, redemptions, and investment funding. + Track fund finances and valuations in proprietary systems. + Monitor expenses and recommend cost-saving initiatives. + Respond to investor inquiries and support SPV finance processes. + Assist with fund tax compliance, including K-1 and tax return reviews. + Contribute to ad-hoc analysis and strategic projects. Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related field. + 3–5+ years of experience in asset management auditing or accounting, with at least 2 years in VC/PE. + CPA preferred; passing FAR & REG required. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets. + Excellent communication skills. + Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. + Passion for crypto, technology, or AI is a strong plus. + Based in San Francisco or New York, with in-office presence 2 days per week.
