Position Summary:

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, Varsity Sport Official - Volleyball will be responsible to work both conference and exhibition games as well as any tournaments and playoffs.  These functions are of moderate complexity and the sport official performs them using established instructions. The list of functions outlined below is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by the incumbent.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs setup and take down of event equipment.

Officiates game.

Records game statistics & game sheets.

Operates video, Public Address (PA) system and music system during game play.

Distributes and tracks computer equipment. A log to track these items may be required.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Volleyball specific knowledge is required for most positions

Must be able to work evenings (Wed-Sat) and weekends (Sat-Sun)

Must be punctual, organized, reliable and have the ability to multitask

Previous experience is an asset

Bilingualism is an asset for some positions (announcer)

Strong computer skills are an asset for some positions (statistics)
