Position Summary Mystic Valley Athletics is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Coach for the Varsity Cheer Team for the 2025-26 season. The ideal candidate will possess high school and/or collegiate playing or coaching experience, demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, and bring a positive, energetic presence to every practice and game. Primary Responsibilities + Plan and lead regular practice sessions + Develop and implement training programs and team development strategies + Coordinate game-day logistics and travel arrangements in collaboration with the Athletic Director + Manage equipment and uniform inventory + Ensure compliance with all school policies and athletic department procedures + Perform other coaching-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications + Availability for early departures on game days + Completion of NFHS Concussion Certification Course (within 1 year) + CPR/First Aid Certification (within 1 year of hire) + Alignment with Mystic Valley’s mission and philosophy in supporting student-athletes Preferred Qualifications + Prior playing experience at the high school or collegiate level + Previous coaching experience at the high school or higher level This is a stipend position with an annual appointment and evaluation conducted at the conclusion of each season.
