What will you do?
A day in the life of a Sr. Manager, Culture & Innovation - Athletes & Influencers (APAC) at Vans looks a little like this.
This role bridges sport, culture, and community - supporting our mission to elevate Vans’ cultural presence and deepen our relationships across the Asia-Pacific region.
You’ll oversee a high-impact portfolio of athletes and influencers - managing day-to-day relationships, identifying emerging talent, negotiating contracts, and ensuring each partner is actively embedded in our marketing, product, and campaign ecosystem.
Reporting into Global Culture & Innovation and working closely with APAC regional marketing, global brand, and product teams, you’ll be responsible for shaping how Vans shows up through the talent we stand beside - and who stands beside us.

Athlete & Ambassador Strategy
Manage day-to-day relationships with APAC-based athletes and ambassadors across skate, surf, snow, and cultural verticals
Build, evolve, and maintain our regional athlete and ambassador roster, aligned to Vans’ global brand vision and APAC growth goals
Identify and sign new talent, from cultural voices to emerging athletes
Partner with product, marketing, and PR to ensure all talent is properly activated and aligned to key campaigns and launches
Negotiate and manage contracts and compensation packages in collaboration with legal and brand partners
Campaign Integration & Relationship Management
Serve as point person for APAC athlete and influencer integration into global campaigns, regional activations, and key seasonal moments
Ensure partners are briefed, equipped, and supported to represent Vans on- and off-platform
Coordinate product seeding and delivery to ensure timely fulfillment
Oversee influencer content approvals, content quality, and publishing timelines in collaboration with global and regional teams
Bring talent into brand moments - supporting guest lists, logistics, appearances, and hospitality during regional events
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
Partner with the global and regional marketing teams to align on campaign timelines and budgets
Track, monitor, and report on talent activity and ROI in partnership with internal analytics and PR teams
Maintain strong internal communication across stakeholders to ensure clarity and consistency around all talent activity
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Experience in athlete management, brand partnerships, influencer strategy, or cultural marketing - either brand or agency side
A sharp eye for talent and strong pulse on emerging culture, sport, and subcultural movements across APAC
Proven experience managing multiple relationships with care, intention, and professionalism
Confident in negotiating contracts and navigating complex creative and commercial dynamics
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly collaborative, organized, and self-directed - able to lead and execute in a matrixed global organization
Fluent in Google Suite, influencer tracking tools, and brand campaign workflows
Language proficiency across the APAC region is a plus
