About the Role
We are building the next generation of Marketplace for Workday. As a Senior Value Manager, you will join a team of builders who are reimaging how a marketplace supports our Customers, Partners and Sellers. You will be responsible for defining the value and story, by market and industry, that supports the Customer journey to discover and transact with the right Partners on the Workday Marketplace. You will dive deep into the business requirements in each market to identify and curate the right Partners and build the content with those Partners for consumption by Customers on Marketplace, and by Partners and Sellers in their enablement. The content you create will be insightful and compelling for our Customers, amplifying our “better together” story with our innovation and services Partners.
The right person for this role will have had experience in Value Management, working in either a customer-facing or Partner-facing role. They will have business acumen, understanding of enterprise software-as-a-service value, and domain expertise in Workday’s key industries. They will serve as a key partner to the Marketplace Leadership team and shape the strategy and go-to-market motions to make Marketplace a growth driver for Workday.
Key Responsibilities
Pioneer the Value Strategy for the Marketplace: Drive the creation and evolution of value frameworks and playbooks to help partners quantify and showcase the business value of their Workday-related software and services.
Develop Value Categorization Framework for Marketplace Listings: Research, design, and scope the implementation of a redesign of Workday Marketplace digital storefront to guide customers through outcome based and value-driven search.
Collaborate and Educate Partners: Guide partners in identifying the potential value their solutions can deliver, enabling them on the Workday value management process, and helping them articulate their unique industry stories and value propositions.
Develop Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with the internal Marketplace team and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and value-driven go-to-market approach.
Navigate Ambiguity and Drive Outcomes: Take ownership of unknown challenges, define new processes, and build a new function from the ground up, all with a focus on delivering tangible value outcomes.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience working with or a deep understanding of partners operating within a SaaS or Hyperscaler marketplace ecosystem such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Salesforce App Exchange
1+ years of experience in a consulting or value engineering.
1+ years of experience working in a software as a service or technology firm, as part of their sales or partner organizations.
Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate the business value propositions of technology solutions.
Other Qualifications:
A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical features into business benefits.
Familiarity with enterprise software concepts and the ability to understand value drivers across different business functions (e.g., HR, Finance).
Experience working with partners or external vendors is a plus.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
