About the role:
The Value Engineer, as part of the Global Value Engineering team, will collaborate with current and prospective clients to explore, understand, justify and realize business value. The Value Engineer will consult with corporate Finance, Treasury, Procurement and Accounting departments to analyze corporate finance and procurement processes, review those processes against best practices and recommend solutions by identifying, measuring and articulating the value of a Liquidity and Risk Management System using a proven, quantitative methodology. The aim is to assist both Kyriba sales and clients identify and justify investment opportunities for Treasury and liquidity Management, whether transformational or tied to modernization.
In addition to utilizing existing tools, processes and knowledge base to create collaborative business cases, the Value Engineer will contribute new intellectual property and publish new content to ensure the Kyriba Value Engineering team maintains and expands its market leadership position. Finally, the Value Engineer will help evaluate the effectiveness of the existing tools, propose enhancements and implement required changes to strengthen the value-based client engagement process.
He/she will also support other Sales Enablement initiatives, including new-hire on-boarding, on-going sales training and sales-opportunity consulting.
The Value Engineer is a strategic role within Kyriba Sales, which will help increase the addressable global market, by combining experience in treasury management, corporate finance, procurement, strategic consulting, change management and Kyriba Enterprise knowledge.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead business-case development, with the support of the global Sales team.
Become a strategic change agent both internally and externally to promote new thinking about Treasury and Liquidity Management, and collaboratively develop initial point of views and cases for change for both existing and prospective clients.
Fully leverage existing value-engineering tools.
Enhance existing value-engineering tools and methods, including the proposal in implementation of new tools and methodologies.
Work with Professional Services and Client Success teams to utilize Performance Benchmarks and historical Business Case statistics to improve quantitative value messaging.
Lead and support value-based Sales training sessions.
Deliver both Value Monitoring and Value Realization Services with select strategic customers.
Education, Experience and Skills:
4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Technology or Business.
Master’s degree, MBA, preferred.
5-10 years of Treasury, Treasury Technology (i.e. cash management, capital markets, FX and interest rate hedging, hedge accounting, etc.) or Corporate Finance experience.
1-5 years of experience with Kyriba Enterprise Software, or 10 years in the Enterprise Software space either as a Value Engineer or Pre-Sales expert.
Strong interpersonal and team skills; ability to communicate clear and concisely with C-Level executives about corporate finance and procurement best practices and solutions; ability to work with a multifunctional team in multiple geographies.
Critical thinking, creative problem solving and decision-making skills that balance thoughtful analysis with timely responsiveness.
Excellent communication and presentation skills - both written and verbal.
Experience with business case creation, analysis, and research.
Experience with strategic cases for changes successfully delivered to Fortune 500 companies.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong executive presence.
Language requirements - Japanese: Fluent, English: Professional level
