Value Creation Financial Operations Associate
Location: Radnor, PA

A Leading Middle-Market Private Equity Firm
We are exclusively partnered with a highly respected middle-market private equity firm headquartered in Radnor, PA, seeking a Value Creation Financial Operations Associate to join its expanding portfolio operations team. The firm focuses on control investments in companies with $5M-$50M of EBITDA across a variety of sectors, leveraging a hands-on, operationally intensive investment approach.
This individual will play a critical role in partnering with management teams and investment professionals to accelerate financial and operational performance across the portfolio. The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of relevant experience and thrives at the intersection of finance, operations, and value creation.
Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Financial Oversight
Act as a key liaison between the PE firm and portfolio company finance teams.
Support monthly/quarterly reporting cycles, analyze financial and operational KPIs, and deliver insights to investment and leadership teams.
Build and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts, budgets, and internal dashboards.
Flag early signs of underperformance and collaborate with management on corrective strategies.
Operational Value Creation
Identify and implement initiatives related to cost optimization, working capital efficiency, pricing, SG&A improvement, and other key value levers.
Collaborate on 100-day plans and strategic roadmaps post-close.
Drive financial modeling and scenario planning for strategic initiatives across the portfolio.
Systems, Data & Reporting Infrastructure
Help lead financial systems rollouts (e.g., ERP, BI tools) and standardize reporting practices across companies.
Elevate data visibility and automation to enhance decision-making at both the portfolio and firm level.
Diligence & Integration Support
Participate in pre-close due diligence with a focus on finance and operational functions.
Assist in onboarding new investments and establishing performance baselines and reporting processes.
Candidate ProfileMinimum 5 years of experience in:
Transaction Services (Big 4 or equivalent)
FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Controllership in a PE-backed or growth-stage business
Operational consulting or portfolio operations in a PE or investment environment
Deep understanding of financial statements, operating metrics, and value drivers in middle-market companies.
Strong modeling and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel required, experience with BI tools a plus.
Track record of influencing senior leadership and driving financial improvements in complex environments.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
