Value & Access Manager

High-level summary of the position with main purpose of the position and how it will be successfully accomplished:

 

Ensures Market Access excellence by maximizing the product value via optimal pricing, reimbursement and launch timing in collaboration with global, regional and local cross-functional teams.

Identifies key stakeholders and establishes relationships with key influencers and decision makers to shape product value and facilitate optimal market access for new AZ products and to protect value of and maintain/optimize market access for existing AZ products. Has a deep understanding of the country healthcare structure and payer environment, with an expertise in the area of product valuation and market access; is able to contribute in shaping the healthcare environment and market access process in the TA domains where AZ is active.

Develop and define the local product value narrative and positioning in the Belux healthcare landscape. Develop and define strategy for obtaining and maintaining market access for AZ product portfolio.Lead the development of the market access action plan & tactics and embed in the brand planning process.Conduct early comprehensive assessments of pricing and reimbursement landscapes. Build scientific/medical acumen to translate into key messages of the value narrative. Drive development of patient flow/journey and conduct budget impact assessments and health economic analyses to underpin the product value.Lead early cross functional meetings to develop value propositions and pricing strategies aligned with product objectives.  Lead development, submission and follow-up of compelling value/reimbursement dossiers (Belux) in line with defined strategy.Lead and develop pricing dossiers (Belux) in collaboration with IVS & Pricing manager and follow up with key stakeholders.Lead IVS initiatives in collaboration with IVS & Pricing manager.Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, reimbursement authorities, health technology assessment (HTA) bodies and KEEs to understand their requirements and recommendations and advocate for appropriate reimbursement and access. Prepare and participate to effective negotiations with key internal (global) and external stakeholders, whenever appropriate.Advance company interests and positions (including legislative developments) in pharma industry's local trade associationAnticipate new trends (national / international) influencing market access environment and AZ business results

Crucial Skills/Experience:

Master’s degree

At least 3 years of experience in the Belgian pharmaceutical industry

Understanding of the Belgian healthcare system & environment

Languages: fluent in Dutch and English

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Scientific Master’s degree

Experience in a market access role in Belgium

Knowledge of Health Economics / Pricing

Health economics experience

Fluent in French
