Associate Director
**Role Purpose**
The candidate will be a key hire within Europe’s largest and most established data centre and digital infrastructure team responsible for advising on in excess of £50 billion of specialist technical real estate annually. The role reflects a unique opportunity to help cement the team’s regional dominance and allows unrivalled access to a rapidly expanding global client base including investment banks, global infrastructure investors, private equity as well as specialist data centre operators and global tech end users. The role will suit candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset.

This role would be a key appointment to the team, benefiting from the opportunity for variety in terms of instruction types and geographies covered, but also the potential to specialise and be involved at the forefront of a continuingly emerging and exciting sector. Reporting to and working alongside the head of the team, the role offers wide ranging client exposure and responsibility, together with good career prospects as well as management and leadership opportunities.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Providing strategic valuation advisory on Data Centres across the UK, Europe and increasingly globally to lenders, investors, owner-occupiers and operators; with regular liaison with the wider CBRE Data Centre capital markets team, also based in London
+ Responsible for business development activities and maintaining existing client relationships.
+ Support with business expansion in key strategic growth areas
+ Lead and/or support with RFPs and pitch activities.
+ Close liaison with clients ensuring high quality advice is consistently delivered.
+ Active role in strategic team management and growth. Day to day team and line management duties, such as performance review, coaching and development.
+ Build complex and multi-faceted DCF appraisals supported by robust and market leading data analysis techniques.
+ Conduct physical property inspections and supervise and review output of inspections conducted by junior members of the team.
+ Review valuation work drafted by other members of the Valuation team to ensure quality and consistency and sign off for job completion.
+ Work with the Service Delivery team to ensure that execution is prioritised and completed.
+ Integrate and collaborate with the wider CBRE network and other business lines.
+ Support with other value add tasks and internal initiatives for innovation and improvement.
**Person Specification/Requirements**
+ MRICS qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years post qualified experience ideally with experience in data centre valuation or operational real estate valuation, development or investment.
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Real Estate, Surveying, or a related field.
+ Proven experience of managing client accounts and business development.
+ Ability to work in a highly dynamic and entrepreneurial environment with a focus on delivering successful high complexity project outcomes.
+ Experience using valuation software and tools, such as Argus Enterprise & Developer and Excel
+ Strong understanding of property market trends and factors influencing property values, and the ability to use that intel in business development discussions.
+ Strong knowledge of regulations and standards in property valuation.
+ Proven management experience
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues.
+ Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
+ Ability to prioritise tasks, delegate where appropriate and meet deadlines.
+ Enjoys working under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
+ Valid UK driving licence.
