You Are:

As a Validation Engineer you will be working for 1 of our clients in the semiconductor’s field. This is an onsite position in Heredia.

 

The opportunity:

·       Testing PC platform and sub-systems, triaging, filing bugs.

·       Taking ownership of bugs and following them to closure.

·       Enabling new features on Platform and OS.

·       Data analysis of execution issues, quality check of tickets.

·       Understand and execute validation plan instructions.

·       Identify opportunities for improvement and drive actions accordingly.

·       Coach/guide/train the technicians in the operations

·       Ensure Safety, Quality, Execution and Cost expectations are met.

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       Strong Platform debug / troubleshooting skills.

·       Understanding of PC architecture – motherboard and its components (PCIe, USB, USB-C, TBT, SATA, PCH, ICH, BIOS, UEFI, RAM, CPU, GPU).

·       Good understanding of different power states of system and devices (ACPI – S-states, C-states, D-states)

·       Good understanding and testing experience of various subsystems like Audio, Camera, Multimedia, communications (WiFi, BT), sensors, etc.

·       Good understanding of Driver and firmware and has experience of deploying them on a system.

·       Experience on PnP workloads/benchmark execution.

·       Capable to flash BIOS/IFWIs on Client and Server Platforms.

·       Be capable to understand and update code in Python, C, C++, Bash.

·       Be capable to interact with CI/CD environments and automation frameworks.

·       Good communicators in English and Spanish.

·       Should be willing to work in Staggered Shifts/Weekends as required.

·       Desired Skills:

·       Strong knowledge of setting up Server Platforms and Server OS.

·       Good knowledge of Windows and Linux.

·       Qualification:

·       5+ years of experience

·       Qualification:

·       2+ Years of experience in platform validation

·       1+ years of experience in PnP validation
