KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides expert technical leadership in coordinating, facilitation, motivating, and directing efforts of cross‑functional program teams including direct supervision of Advanced Quality team. Gains support for and develops program objectives/deliverables and ensures all groups involved understand customer demands for successful launch of a program. Drives lessons learned from previous launches into new program objectives. Ensures customer and Company requirements are met including cost, quality, timing, and other related aspects of programs.Actively participates in quoting process to ensure that the appropriate quality resources and objectives are considered prior to receiving the business award.Works with internal resources to assure manufacturability feasibility of new products, and readiness of manufacturing process for volume production. Ensures countermeasures are initiated to correct unfavorable variances.Documents, monitors, and drives corrective actions to achieve program objectives by means of open issue lists, milestone reviews, and launch (manufacturing) readiness reviews.Has a solid understanding of applicable quality systems registration requirements (i.e. TS-16949, etc.) and ensures that Engineered Glass PMP process meets or exceeds these requirements, both in documentation and execution of launches.Participates in continuous, improvement efforts, Researches, recommends, and initiates implementation of enhancements to new products, processes and programs through past lessons learned.Performs other duties as necessary for completion of projects and achievement of goals. Supervises and/or provides work direction to other staff.QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree plus minimum four years’ experience in related field; or equivalent preferred. Must be able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy, which is critical to the department. Able to work in a high-place manufacturing environment. Ability to create FMEA, PFMEA or DFMEA documents, successfully developed control plans. Successful completion of multiple launches annually. Demonstrated ability to carry out projects, broad in nature, from beginning to end in coordination with internal and external contacts. Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize, coordinate projects, manage conflicting needs, and deal with many issues at one time. Must be able to work independently under little or no supervision. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts and represent the Company in a professional manner when performing job duties. Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.Demonstrated ability to research and recommend new product/process program enhancements and participate in and initiate implementation of continuous improvement processes.Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
