About the team

At SAP University Alliances we partner with other SAP team to provide the best services to foster strategic research collaborations between SAP and academia in areas like the future of supply chain management.

SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions are market leaders and are used by more than 2500 customers worldwide. We aim to innovate this portfolio through our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cloud product that integrates with our established ERP business suite S/4HANA.

IBP is a cloud solution that enables our customers to react quickly to changing customer demands and expectations, as well as unexpected changes to their supply chain due to external events or shortages. IBP does this by generating a short to midterm supply plan that’s based on prioritized and categorized demand such as orders and forecasts. To learn more about IBP, watch this video.

We are looking for a UX Researcher to join our Design & UX team and make a tangible impact on product development. You'll work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers, diving into the full product lifecycle to ensure our solutions are genuinely user-centered and impactful to business. Beyond conducting research, you’ll also help us foster a research-driven culture, ensuring deep user understanding guides every decision.

 

 

 

What you`ll do

 

Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to understand the needs, motivations, and workflows of a wide range of users  Translate research findings into actionable recommendations that directly inform product strategy, design decisions, and the overall user experience  Create impactful deliverables to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders  Partner closely with designers, product managers, engineers, and other teams to understand business objectives, align on research goals, and integrate user insights throughout the entire product development lifecycle  Help foster a culture where every decision is informed by a deep understanding of users and their real problems, promoting the value of research across the organization  Stay up-to-date with the latest UX research methodologies, tools, and industry trends, including those related to AI, to continuously improve research practices and contribute to the growth of our research capabilities

 

 

What you bring

 

PhD degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Computer Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related discipline). 2+ years of hands-on experience in conducting UX research such as user interviews, contextual inquiries, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, A/B testing, diary studies, and unmoderated testing.   Ability to independently plan, execute, and synthesize research in a structured and rigorous way  A strong team player who enjoys working in international cross-functional product teams   Critical thinking ability to frame research questions that address key product challenges and resolve ambiguous problems  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Experience in enterprise or B2B software is a significant plus

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 74,600-156,800 (CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
