UX Research Manager, Facebook Feed
**Summary:** Within Facebook’s Discovery organization, the Feed pillar is seeking a UX Research Manager to lead our flagship product. Feed is at the center of the knot for Facebook, being the primary surface for engagement and revenue growth. To many of Facebook’s users, Feed is Facebook. People go to Facebook’s ‘landing page’ to deepen connections to friends & family, but also want to find inspiration, information, and entertainment. Seamless experiences and hyper-personalized content underlie the success of Feed and ultimately all our products. A successful leader will be devoted to driving measurable improvement for our users and the product. Our UX Research team is designing for a road range of experiences, perspectives and backgrounds across the globe, which requires us to understand the behaviors of the people behind them. UX researchers tackle some of the most complex challenges to gain insights into how people interact with each other and the world around them, and work collaboratively to contribute new ideas to products that impact the experiences of billions of people on a global scale. At Facebook, we employ a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods to accomplish our goals, including surveys, usability tests, diary studies and 1:1 interviews. We value a wide-range of perspectives and stem from many different backgrounds—geographically, educationally and philosophically. We come from industry and academia, with roots in anthropology, design research, economics, HCI, human factors, market research, political science, sociology, social computing, and social psychology, among others.
