Role Overview:

We're seeking a strategic and visionary Principal UX Designer to join our UX team. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping transformative experiences across Insulet’s global digital ecosystem. This role blends creative leadership, technical depth, and user obsession to craft intuitive, elegant solutions that serve patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Leadership Responsibilities:

Drive UX strategy and define vision aligned with business and customer prioritiesInfluence product direction with data-driven insights and strategic clarityCollaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, UX teamsPresent UX rationale with impact to executive leaders and stakeholdersChampion user advocacy and quality throughout the product lifecycleMentor junior designers and foster a growth-oriented team cultureCultivate alignment by guiding teams through planning and delivery cyclesElevate UX maturity across the organization through thought leadership and design excellenceLead cross-functional design sprints/workshops to gain alignment and evangelize UX

Technical Responsibilities:

Oversee UX inputs for one of our major product franchisesArchitect seamless, scalable experiences that anticipate user needs and solve real problemsDesign and iterate using research, Human Factors, and user feedbackApply mastery in modern UX tools, rapid prototyping, and testing workflowsEnsure platform consistency and system-wide UX integrity across productsContribute to and evolve design systems used across global teamsCraft compiling user narratives, through user journey maps, service design inputs, attitudinal insights, etc

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent work experienceDeep expertise in design tools such as Figma, Framer, Sketch, FigJam, Adobe Creative Cloud, JIRA, Confluence, Miro10+ years in mobile app and consumer experience design5+ years of experience in Agile product development environmentsProven track record of leading strategic design initiatives with global impactDeep fluency in UX design principles, and digital eco-systemsExpertise in prototyping, design systems, user research, and accessibility standardsExceptional communication, storytelling, and collaboration skillsAbility to influence cross-functional partners and executive stakeholders

NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements (requires on-site work from our Acton office at least 3x/week; may work remotely other days). #LI-Hybrid

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $167,550.00 - $251,325.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
