We are Progress (Nasdaq: PRGS) - the trusted provider of software that enables our customers to develop, deploy and manage responsible, AI-powered applications and experiences with agility and ease. We’re proud to have a diverse, global team where we value the individual and enrich our culture by considering varied perspectives because we believe people power progress. In this role you will collaborate with the team to create, modify, and maintain wireframes, interactive prototypes, and final designs that align with project goals.You will also work independently on well-defined, clearly scoped tasks while seeking guidance as needed to ensure quality and consistency across deliverables. In this role, you will:Prepare wireframes, interactive prototypes and designs to demonstrate ideas and interactions following clearly defined requirementsWorks with business requirements, use cases and user storiesUnderstand business needs and the product domainClosely collaborates with senior team members and peers (participate in team meetings and peer reviews)Follows the established practices, UI patterns and guidelines within the productUnderstand and apply UX principlesParticipates in product development, creating user flows and interaction design prototypes.Demonstrates awareness and high level of interest in the latest trends in the fieldActively participate in creation and maintenance of in-house developed design system, such as designing components, building blocks, templates, demo applications and icons.Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently, taking full ownership of tasks and project execution.Effectively collaborates with stakeholders, including product managers, engineering leads, and marketing teams, to ensure productive and successful outcomes.Participates in preparation of user personas, use cases, interaction flow diagramsBuild information architecture for specific features or product areasYour background:BA/MA in any discipline – Art, Graphical, UI/UX design / Humanitarian or commuter science is beneficial.At least 2-3 years of related professional experienceHigh level of proficiency in Figma and Adobe IllustratorVery good knowledge and understanding of software technologies, tools and trends; being at the forefront of technological innovation and trendsVery good understanding of how design, prototyping and user research meet complex and varied requirements within tight development framesDemonstrates excellent knowledge in terms of design systems and their usage (Material, Bootstrap, MS Fluent etc.)Excellent understanding of guidelines and best UX patterns for both – web/desktop and mobile platforms (Windows/Mac and iOS/Android)Experience with diverse stakeholders (designers, developers, PMs, marketing teams)Up-to-date understanding of product-related user interface technologies and trendsGood command of EnglishLogical thinking to translate complex interactions into simple user experiences and flowsPersistence and attention to detailA high level of understanding of color theory, font usage, proportions, and visual aesthetics in generalExperience or interest in using AI tools to boost creativity and efficiency is a plus.Very good communication skillsIf this sounds like you and fits your experience and career goals, we’d be happy to chat.
