Department: 480501 - UHR Temporary Services Location: Raleigh, NC Essential Job Duties: The Accounting Technician supports the Facilities Budget & Accounting team at NC State University by providing accurate and efficient financial processing for both capital and non-capital projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring project transactions are completed on time, systems are kept up to date, and financial records are organized and accessible. Essential Job Duties + Enter requisitions, purchase orders, and vouchers for capital and non-capital projects initiated by various Facilities departments. + Process invoices and pay applications for capital and non-capital projects in compliance with university policies and procedures. + Maintain accurate and timely updates across multiple systems, including CAPS , PeopleSoft Financials, AERES , Interscope, and tracking spreadsheets. + Assist with mail distribution, project file organization, and archiving of completed project documentation. Additional Responsibilities + Cross-train in other Facilities Budget & Accounting functions to serve as a backup when needed. + Set up vendors in PaymentWorks to facilitate timely payments and vendor management. Other Work/Responsibilities: N/A Required Qualifications: + Ability to observe monitor, collect, and record fiscal data. + Ability to assess the accuracy, validity, and integrity of data. + Ability to maintain and manage accounting records of moderate variety and complexity, including preparation of financial statements and reports. + Technical Knowledge of technical accounting, including the maintenance and reporting of financial accounting data. + General Microsoft Excel knowledge. Preferred Qualifications: + Adaptive to changes in technology. + Ability to handle multiple task and work independently.
