Department: 480501 - UHR Temporary Services Location: Raleigh, NC Essential Job Duties: The Shipping & Receiving Specialist supports the operations of the Veterinary Hospital and College of Veterinary Medicine by managing the efficient flow of materials in and out of the facility. This position is responsible for: + Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming deliveries + Sorting and distributing packages and supplies to appropriate departments + Preparing and processing outgoing shipments in compliance with university policies. + Maintains accurate inventory and shipping records + Communicates with vendors, couriers, and internal stakeholders + Ensures the shipping and receiving area remains organized, safe, and compliant with applicable standards. + The role also provides assistance with related logistical and supply tasks as needed to ensure smooth departmental operations. Required Qualifications: + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation + Familiarity with basic computer programs and inventory systems. + Excellent communication and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications: + Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
