Utilization Management Coordinator

Join the team of highly dedicated mental health professionals. We are presently looking for a PRN Utilization Management Specialist who will be responsible for:

The UM Coordinator is responsible for authorizing continued inpatient days for patients admitted to the hospital. Compiles statistics regarding authorizations and phone calls for monthly reports and communication with insurance providers. Provides customer service to members and providers regarding benefits and claim status. Communicates with Intake/UM Director regarding authorizations, reports, protocol concerns and network issues.

Qualifications:

Education:

A Master’s Degree in behavioral health or RN Degree from an accredited college or university

Experience:

At least 2 years’ experience in a psychiatric setting as UM Coordinator, Counselor or Nurse.
