Stanford Health Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Utility Worker to join our dynamic Pneumatic Tube-Shop team within the Facility Field Services Department. If you are passionate about maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will perform maintenance and troubleshooting on pneumatic tube systems and related equipment while ensuring compliance with electrical and mechanical safety standards. Collaboration is key, as you will work effectively with team members and other departments to meet operational needs, adapting to changing priorities and stepping outside of routine tasks as required.
We are looking for candidates with basic experience in electrical and mechanical safety protocols, a strong willingness to work in a fast-paced team environment, and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the department. A desire to learn and grow within the role and organization is essential, along with excellent interpersonal skills to interact comfortably with various departments and teams throughout the day.

**A Brief Overview**
The Utility Worker performs basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other general work in connection with the maintenance and repair of building equipment and systems. Nature of work involves physical effort and dexterity in the use of appropriate tools. The utility worker is assigned to take direction and assist tradesperson, for the duration of an assignment. May be assigned to perform tasks requiring less expertise independently.

**What you will do**
+ Assists in the installation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other building equipment and systems.
+ Assists in the installation and maintenance of building utility systems.
+ Maintain parts and equipment inventory.
+ Repair of building interiors such as doors, walls, and furnishings.
+ Performs tasks requiring less expertise independently involving inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems.
+ Basic understanding of mechanical, architectural, and plumbing blueprints and basic electrical schematics. Responds to all service calls.
+ Responsible for keeping records, timecards, work requests, material slips, logbook entries, charts, and record sheets accurate, legible and turned in to supervisor in a timely manner.
+ Handles hazardous materials and associated waste including replacing batteries in faucets and replacing burned out fluorescent lamps.
**Education Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent
**Experience Qualifications**
+ Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience

+ Ability to adapt to and deal with change and ambiguity
+ Ability to operate standard tools, instruments and equipment used on the job
+ Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches

+ Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
+ Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility
+ Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in maintenance and repair

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $37.58 - $42.32 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
