UTILITY SYSTEM REPAIR OPERATOR SUPERVISOR I

Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a UTILITY SYSTEM REPAIR OPERATOR SUPERVISOR I in the G-F Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER. Initial consideration for this announcement is limited to the number of applications listed at the top of this announcement (50). Responsibilities You will manage an aligned, engaged, high-performing team, and lead by example; developing and execute a mission aligned vision. You will supervise planning, organization, and distribution of work in connection with scheduled projects. You will participate in weekly scheduling meeting for the planning of current and future work schedules to include staffing, material, and equipment needs. You will oversee maintenance/repair of MCB Camp Butler utilities systems and pools real property to include life, health, safety etc. You will Plans, coordinate, and submits annual training requirements to Facilities Manager highlighting mandatory training to include funding estimates for such training. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Must be able to supervise without more than normal supervision, provide production support, interpret instructions, use specific tools and equipment pertinent to the trade, accomplish all work meeting safety guidelines. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101. ~ Incumbent may be required to climb ladders, stoop, bend, crawl, etc. in the performance of their duties. ~ Must be alert to electrical shock hazards and the possibility of falling on uneven terrain or from heights. ~ Subjected to extreme temperatures/high humidity, bad weather (6 month typhoon season), unpleasant odors, polluted water, and hard to reach/remote dusty/noisy work sites which may use hazardous oils or chemicals. ~ Incumbent shall, at a minimum, be fully qualified/certified in the following within 12 months after assuming duties of this position: a. Certified Backflow Prevention Device Tester b. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily. Additional documentation may be required prior to granting preference. Military spouses and family members who are appointed may not extend longer than 2 months following the transfer of the sponsor from the commuting area of the foreign duty station; 2 months beyond the separation of the appointee's sponsor; or any time beyond the time employee ceases to be a family member. ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
