Pay Range: Compensation for this position is $15.81-$16.60/hr  plus an additional estimated $25.93-$27.22 /hr in production pay, paid weekly.

Basic Job Functions:

The role of Utility Machine Operator is to safely operate and maintain the Grant Machine. Duties include, but are not limited to, running the Grant to provide refractory lining, slag and scale build-up, cleaning ladle lips, digging pits, completing routine preventative maintenance on the Grant machine as well as general housekeeping in the plant. This position will also provide support to production and refractory teams i.e.: unloading supplies, cleaning around bins, silos, and supply pads. The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, procedures and housekeeping standards to always make safety a priority.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Manager & Supervisor Recommendation

· Willing to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, scheduled and unscheduled overtime

· Ability to successfully pass crane operator and mobile equipment licensing requirement

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Grant Machine Operations, Skid Steer, Forklifts, Lulls etc.
