Utility Inspector

Parsons is looking for an experienced Utility Inspector to join our team! In this role, you will oversee and inspect utility-related construction activities for roads and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of utility works within the project scope.
What You'll Be Doing:
Conduct daily inspections of utility construction activities, including water supply, sewerage, drainage, electrical, and telecommunications systems, to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.Monitor and report on the progress of utility works, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to keep the project on track.Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards and project specifications.Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control records.Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of utility works and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise on-site.Verify that utility installations are completed in accordance with approved shop drawings, method statements, and project requirements.Assist with testing and commissioning of utility systems to ensure functionality and compliance with project standards.Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.Liaise with local authorities and utility providers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and approvals.Support the preparation of as-built drawings and documentation for utility systems.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility inspection for roads and infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of utility construction standards, codes, and regulations.Familiarity with water supply, sewerage, drainage, electrical, and telecommunications systems.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed inspection reports.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
