Job Title: Usher

Pay: $22.00 an hour

Feb 22nd, 2025 - April 27, 2025 

Primary Responsibilities

Greet guests upon entrance to the big top, check tickets and provide guidance to seats Show guests where to find exits, bathrooms, and concession stands Answer guests' questions, handle complaints or suggestions Ensure all guests needs are met Seat guests according to artistic or technical cues, lighting the way with flashlights when guests arrive at or leave their seats Help identify disorderly guests, ensuring everyone adheres to the site rules Clean the big top – sweep, mop, and place debris in trash receptacles (45 minutes of cleaning) Help guests with special needs, and assist guests with stairs and ramps Ensure nothing is obstructing exits Performs other duties asked by the supervisor

Ideal candidates will:

Work in a loud environment Have a professional, clean appearance with a straight posture. Note: Employees are responsible for arriving in black pants and shoes (no logos) and Cirquador shirt Be physically able to stand for long hours and travel up-and-down stairs frequently Provide good customer service and hospitality Be team player Pay attention to the details, especially those given by the supervisor Working fast and efficiently under pressure Have a welcoming and friendly attitude (smile and respectful greetings) Know when to ask for help from a supervisor Speak English – other languages are an asset Must obtain a Certificate of Fitness for Temporary Indoor / Outdoor Place of Assembly Safety Personnel (F-04).

Physical Demands:

This job may require extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting and kneeling for up to 8 hours. May also lift up to 50lbs.
