Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose As a User Experience (UX) Researcher, you will be responsible for understanding and researching end-to-end patient and provider journeys to identify the most impactful challenges and unmet needs the team can address. As a comprehensive healthcare system this includes a vast range of healthcare services, this could include the design of virtual care delivery, nurse communications, remote health monitoring, operating room operations, financial transparency and payment, care coordination, and more. To accomplish this, you will work collaboratively with designers and product managers on field research, concept envisioning and iterative testing. Strong knowledge of research methods and experience applying multiple qualitative and quantitative methodologies to uncover insights about products and services are critical to this role. You will be part of a growing team and will help drive research excellence through industry best practices. Responsibilities Aggregate and synthesize human-centered data (primary research, voice of customer data, digital exhaust, etc.) to extract insights and drive decision making. Act as the voice of the user in discussions related to product discovery and development. Consolidate and distill large amounts of learnings into approachable and shareable formats to gain alignment within the team as well as the broader BJC organization Collaborate closely with design, innovation, and product stakeholders to support the establishment of research roadmaps and execute on research opportunities. Work with other members of the design team to motivate, plan, execute and evaluate prototypes of new design initiatives. Support the strategy for scaling research and design impact across the organization. Drive the activation of exploratory, formative and summative research initiatives. Serve as subject matter expert on qualitative and quantitative research methods, human-centered design and design thinking. Ensure quality of research work, drive research excellence, and establish best practices. Lead, guide, and participate in research activities across discovery and validation phases, including but not limited to qualitative and quantitative data gathering, contextual inquiry, ethnography, empathy exercises, co-design sessions, synthesis methods, prototyping, usability testing, and A/B testing.
