Job Description
You will build user experience design for our Enterprise Customer Experience organization, supporting global business transformation efforts. As a primary member of the Experience Design Team, you will represent and conduct user experience design at Rockwell Automation. You will participate in the full development lifecycle—from initial research and conceptualization through evaluation and delivery, applying best-practice user-centered design and usability engineering techniques to develop creative designs for Rockwell Automation enterprise platforms. You will work with specialists on department user experience design and I.T. enterprise architecture teams, developers, and collaborate with multiple department teams to conceptualize, design, test solutions. You will collaborate with management, sales, marketing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure designs are implemented. Design will be conducted in collaboration with the broader design community.

Your Responsibilities:You will collaborate with business transformation project teams to apply best-practice user-centered design and usability engineering techniques to new customer, partner, and employee experiences across CRM, partner portals, customer portals, and commerce platforms, using technologies such as Adobe Experience Manager, MuleSoft, Salesforce, and SAP Hybris.You will understand how customers, partners, and employees use current enterprise platforms, and use that knowledge to improve new platforms.You will maintain mockups, wireframes, scenarios, prototypes, navigation maps and other design artifacts. Validate designs with partners and adjacent teams.You will define user interfaces and interaction styles which result in improved user productivity and deliver value. Validate designs with partners and adjacent teams.You will improve the user-centered creativity and design methodology.You will stay current with trends and best practices in the user experience/usability and enterprise platform design domains.You will use user research and collaborate with department teams to translate our goals into the best enterprise experience solutions for our business.You will keep informed of new developments in the user experience design field. Participate in technical and developmental training opportunities.You will help develop UI guidelines.You will recommend new tools and methods to support the work of the broader design user experience community.You will partner with others through mutually supportive professional relationships, open and direct communications and respect. Cope with and use personality differences and differences of opinion.You will take ownership of assignments by understanding expected outcomes, requesting help.The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's degree in interaction/user experience design, human factors, cognitive or behavioral science, or related discipline required (or equivalent demonstrated experience and expertise).The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Four or more years of experience in interaction/user experience design for CRM and ecommerce, especially in B2B businessesPortfolio of work /samples of interaction design work required.Experience using Figma®, Maze, Miro and prototyping tools.Experience designing complex B2B commerce platformsCan simplify the complex problems without compromising functionExperience with direct vs. distributor-led sales modelsExperience with cart, checkout, and order management UXUnderstand Quote workflowsKnow how to balance UX needs with business constraints (compliance, legal, scalability)Understand the complex tool ecosystemsCan scope and distill the most important context information and system relationshipsUse UX research & data to validate design decisionsConduct User research and A/B testingMap workflows & identify pain points in complex, multi-step, multi-personas workflowsHave designed for B2B industrial, manufacturing, or engineering-heavy applications.Understand ERP, CRM, and procurement system interactions (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)Know how to balance UX needs with business constraints (compliance, legal, scalability)Experience (Preferred but Not Mandatory)Experience with complex product configurations (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, and machine systems).Modular product selection & dependency validation UX.Familiarity with AI-powered UX features (i.e. product recommendations, pricing optimization)Experience with workflow automation UX (e.g., AI-driven quote approvals).Design role-based dashboards for industrial usersHave designed UX for aftermarket services, license renewals, or complex support ecosystemsWhat We Offer:Our benefits package includes …
