Autodesk is seeking a creative and analytical UX Designer to join our team and help shape how AI influences the future of product development through our leading design and make product, Fusion.

Responsibilities

Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers to define AI-enhanced user experiences from concept to implementation

Design intelligent workflows that integrate AI-driven recommendations, automation, and decision support tools

Partner with the research team and conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability studies to inform AI-powered feature development

Refine content for help documentation, conversational AI experiences, and AI-generated user guidance

Prototype and test AI-driven interactions, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and user trust

Collaborate with cross-functional peers and stakeholders to align AI capabilities with user needs

Contribute to design systems that incorporate AI-generated content, predictive assistance, and adaptive interfaces

Work within a fast-paced, iterative environment, balancing evolving AI advancements with user-centered design principles

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in UX Design, Mechanical Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in UX design within software, AI, or manufacturing environments

Proficiency in tools like Adobe Suite, Figma, Jira, Confluence, Airtable, and PowerPoint

Strong analytical thinking and a user-centered design mindset

Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams across time zones

Experience conducting user research, including interviews and usability testing

Familiarity with AI-driven design principles, conversational UX, or AI-powered user assistance

Has experience applying UX in real-world projects and can speak to their role in team efforts using RACI principles

Passionate about AI, technology, and how products are created, with a desire to shape the future of digital tools

Curious and proactive—asks great questions to understand users, business needs, and technical constraints

Thinks systematically, connecting workflows across multiple tools and platforms

Enjoys problem-solving, reframing challenges, and exploring creative solutions

Communicates clearly, influences decisions, and collaborates across disciplines
