USB Professional Liability Renewal Underwriter

Be a part of an established leader within commercial Errors & Omissions Liability insurance. This underwriting position supports the achievement of established goals related to profitable growth, customer service, and maintaining producer relationships of the Financial Lines E&O unit for our Underwriting Service Branch (USB). The primary responsibility is to underwrite individual commercial risks within the USB, focusing on Professional Liability/E&O insurance products for clients with revenues less than $100M.

Scope:

Understand the fundamentals of insurance coverage, terms and conditions Cultivating relationships with agents and brokers while using relationship to place business with Chubb Marketing Chubb’s competitive advantages in the marketplace and negotiating pricing and terms and conditions in a competitive marketplace that meet the customer’s needs and positions Chubb to achieve a profit Identify, analyze, and assess risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate controls Ability to base communications on strategic thinking and problem solving Ability to use systems and software programs needed to conduct daily business Ability to analyze claims and quantify losses


Duties may include but are not limited to:

Determines terms and conditions and utilizes complex rating plans Binds coverage Documents the underwriting files Handles an assigned territory/book of business Bachelor’s degree in finance or business is preferred1+ years of Underwriting experience or similar roleDemonstrated analytical skills with the ability to make expedient and sound decisions.Strong computer proficiency including the ability to process a large volume of business on a daily basis.Strong track record in delivering timely quality service to internal and external customers.Demonstrated success in negotiation and building collaborative relationships.Works effectively as part of a team; ability to balance team and individual goals.Anticipates and adjusts to multiple demands and shifting priorities.Strong oral and written communication skills.Customer service and/or insurance experience preferred.Goal oriented and results driven.Ability to sell and negotiate to achieve bottom line profitability.

The pay range for the role is $62,200 to $105,800. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
