Senior Manager, Apparel Designer – Casual Tailoring
Location: Onsite in our New York office – 45 W 25th St, New York, NY

As a Senior Manager, you will set the creative vision and oversee the end-to-end design process for our casual tailoring assortment. You’ll lead and mentor a team of designers, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and ensure our private label collections are innovative, trend-right, and aligned with Walmart’s brand strategy. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving sales, elevating product quality, and exceeding customer expectations.
What you'll do:
Provide creative direction and leadership for the design and development of seasonal casual tailoring collections.
Oversee trend research, concept ideation, and the creation of mood boards, ensuring alignment with market trends and business objectives.
Lead the design team in developing original, innovative, and commercially viable tailored apparel for our private label brands.
Review and approve sketches, tech-packs, and final samples, ensuring design excellence and technical accuracy.
Partner with merchandising, product development, sourcing, and quality assurance teams to bring collections to market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers, providing clear design direction and feedback.
Manage the product development calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met and collections are delivered on time.
Mentor and develop design team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Analyze sales data and customer feedback to inform future design strategies and drive business growth.
What you'll bring:
8+ years of fashion design experience, with a strong focus on tailoring, suiting, or structured apparel
Proven leadership experience managing and developing design teams
Exceptional creative vision and a deep understanding of casual tailoring trends and construction
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint (Windows)
Experience with 3D design software (e.g., Browzwear Lotta and/or V-Stitcher) is a plus
Strong technical skills in sketching, tech-pack creation, and garment construction
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Ability to drive projects from concept to completion in a fast-paced environment

The annual salary range for this position is $132,000.00-$264,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
