In this role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to deliver robust, efficient, and secure platform solutions—directly influencing Walmart’s digital transformation.

What You’ll Do

Lead design, implementation, and optimization of backend services for AI/ML workflowsDevelop and scale LLM integration layers, vector search, and embedding pipelinesOversee robust error handling, retries, caching, and observability (metrics, logging, tracing)Drive code quality through reviews, testing, and CI/CD best practicesPartner on system architecture and technical decisions with engineering and product teams

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of advanced Python development (async/await); strong API experience (FastAPI, Django, or similar)Proven experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and vector databasesExpertise in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS) and distributed systemsStrong testing background (pytest/unit/integration); observability tooling proficiencyFamiliarity with front-end development (JavaScript/HTML) and security best practices for AI platforms

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
