Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Walmart’s U.S. Ecommerce Marketplace is a fast-growing and vibrant place that connects millions of customers to 100s of millions of products offered by our Marketplace sellers. If you are an experienced analytics leader with a background in Ecommerce logistics and delivery, then this role may be for you. We seek a Director of Advanced Analytics to lead our Seller-Fulfilled, Cross Border, Local, and Seller Performance analytics functions. This is an accelerating space, punctuated by wide-reaching complexity and fun problems to solve. From figuring out how to optimize international inbound shipments, to improving seller-fulfilled promise and on-time delivery performance, to developing hyper-local analytics strategies, this role can deliver big results across rapidly expanding businesses within Walmart’s U.S. Marketplace.

In this role, you’ll partner with multiple business and operations leaders to help drive analytics strategies and results, while also making sure they have the data and insights needed to manage their day-to-day effectively. What you’ll do…

Provide consulting expertise and acts as a subject matter expert to senior functional leadership (e.g., VPs); articulates the needs of current and future customers to executive leadership.

Review and influence business strategies and integrates customer strategies to achieve business objectives.

Consult with executive leadership to identify and answer critical questions about customers to drive business decisions.

Lead all advanced analytics projects for a small business area, category or prototype across platforms based on broad industry and organizational knowledge.

Ensure solution and analytical plans reflect business priorities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align modeling solutions with business priorities and strategies.

Partner with functional leadership and other cross-functional leaders across the organization (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for all projects for a small business area, category or prototype, ensure buy-in for recommendations as necessary and ensure alignment on data analysis strategies.

Proactively maintain existing relationships and develops new relationships with external business partners and vendors.

Ensure associates are receiving learning and development opportunities (e.g., training, mentoring) for the good of the associate and Walmart.

Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 5 years' experience in data analytics or related field OR 7 years'
experience in data analytics or related field.
