The Senior Associate Director, Retail Operations partners with Head of Retail to execute key strategic and operational business objectives, aligning strategy with the portfolio of initiatives and developing a business and cultural roadmap. Focus areas for this role include, but are not limited to, providing thought-leadership support to the leaders of the business; leading critical business unit and US-level analyses and insights; developing strategic presentations for business reviews and meetings; and facilitating strategic meetings, including customer-facing interactions, organizing and conducting leadership meetings, tracking financial metrics and communicating the vision and strategy of the business through business steering. The SR AD, Retail Operations leads a team of retail sales operations and forecasting to ensure the targets and key priorities are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing and leading through influence (vs. hierarchical authority), embracing transparency and building strong relationships. **Duties & Responsibilities** + Supports strategic direction setting and execution. + Acts as a key advisor to Head of Retail, offering insights, analysis, and recommendations on a wide range of issues, including business strategy, internal processes, and organizational effectiveness. + Drives, measures, and communicates organizational initiatives. + Supports action measures, business cases, and proposals for critical strategic and executional topics to ensure topics are "decision ready" for the Pet leadership team. + Helps to develop and monitor functional KPIs. + Establishes a business planning process for tracking and executing on projects. + Participates as an active member of the leadership team for retail operations. + Provides leadership, organization, and strategic focus to the daily operations of the group. + Designs, leads, and facilitates as requested in meetings to ensure Strategic focus of the business and cultural advancement. + Assists with the development and dissemination of Leadership communications. + Responsible for follow-up and resolution on action items. Project and Stakeholder Management: + Assists development and drive initiatives in support of retail and the US AH direction. + Leads initiatives to deliver key priorities and improvements. + Develops metrics to measure progress against priorities. + Liaises with Global strategy as needed for local implementation of projects. Relationship Building: + Develops and maintains strong relationships with retail function for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness. + Collaborates with key stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and goals and by working on business critical and value-added projects. Leadership: + Leads a team in support of key Commercial execution activities, to include marketing and systems design, analytics and reporting, communications, development and integration of best practices, productivity improvements, and stakeholder partnering within the Commercial organization. **Requirements** + Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; MBA preferred. + At least eight (8) years Animal Health industry knowledge (e.g. consulting, marketing/sales, product development, business development, finance) including leading others. + Commercial animal health / human pharmaceutical business experience, with experience in a customer facing or analytics role strongly preferred. + Persuasiveness and influence to successfully advise, facilitate, challenge, and build relationships as a trusted advisor with stakeholders across the organization, requiring high level of emotional intelligence. + Demonstrated judgment and discretion to serve as a discussion partner on retail leadership team for broad range of management topics. + Project management experience and ability to oversee multiple projects running simultaneously and provide quality control and guidance on projects. + Demonstrated ability to bridge strategic and operational thinking, translating strategy into operational tactics. + Ability to drive for change and continuous improvement. + Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter and strong initiative. + Demonstrated business acumen, analytical and financial skills. + Willingness to travel up to 15%. **Eligibility Requirements** : + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. + Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required). + Must be 18 years of age or older. **Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to a person’s actual or perceived race, including natural hairstyles, hair texture and protective hairstyles; color; creed; religion; national origin; age; ancestry; citizenship status, marital status; gender, gender identity or expression; sexual orientation, mental, physical or intellectual disability, veteran status; pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition; genetic information (including the refusal to submit to genetic testing) or any other class or characteristic protected by applicable law.
