Position Overview
As an Associate Director on our Reinsurance team, you will play a key role in developing and delivering innovative facultative property reinsurance solutions. You’ll collaborate across broking teams and solution lines to design structured strategies such as loss portfolio transfers and adverse development covers. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work both virtually and from our Bloomington, MN office.
What You’ll Do
+ Identify client and prospect needs to craft innovative, cost-effective reinsurance solutions, with a focus on structured and alternative strategies.
+ Maintain a deep understanding of Aon’s capabilities and market dynamics to align solutions with client objectives.
+ Build and nurture strong relationships with key structured markets, staying informed on risk appetite, trends, and emerging opportunities.
+ Collaborate across broking teams and solution lines to deliver tailored reinsurance programs, including loss portfolio transfers and adverse development covers.
+ Support the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance client satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
+ Minimum of 5 years’ confirmed experience in broking, underwriting, or a technical/analytical role within commercial property and casualty insurance (e.g., actuarial, catastrophe modeling, capital modeling).
+ Strong knowledge of reinsurance principles, structures, and market practices.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the full Microsoft Office suite; ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
+ Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
+ Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality service in a dynamic environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field—or equivalent industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
